I'm fairly decent at aligning the front legs with my catz' poses as well as getting the eyes pretty nice, but I'm always worried about the amount of space between the back legs. Is it enough? Here's what I consider my best pose, please tell me if the legs should be spaced more. I don't know if the fact that the catz legs are large and furry might make the space smaller and that's okay, but.. well, here: It's not as big as the spaces I see from all the "Perfect pose" demonstration pictures, but most of those catz are like Calicos or other short-haired types so I'm not sure.

The space between the back legs will vary depending on the breed of cat, like you mentioned. In the long-haired breeds there will usually be little to no space; but that's perfectly normal. I think maybe people like to mention the back legs sometimes because it can be an easy indicator of how the body's overall orientation is. Sometimes I will look to them to see whether the body is slightly turned too much to the left or right rather than perfect profile. But this pose looks great to me.

I agree. It's harder to show the spacer because of the amount of hair/fuzz. I think the pose you have looks rather good.

I got an opinion from Anijumper about Ant's pose. She said that she doesn't really look all that much at how much space is between the back legs, and that some Catz can only stretch their legs so far. PX Ant has really big feet but small legs so her legs don't space as far as most. Cali's and Frost's legs Don't space too far either. Frost is a Maine Coon mix, and Cali is a Calico mix. Ace's legs have a good space in between; he's an Alley Cat mix. So yeah, it depends on the breed.
