Can I get any other breeds other than what comes in the game?
You sure can! If you go on the On the search for...board,there's a topic called Links(a sticky at the top). There you can find a list of sites that have breedfiles(these are just some of them, and all the main ones).
How do I get these breedfiles in my game?
It's rather simple actually, once you get the hang of it. Just click on the link that allows you to download the file(make sure it is for the version of the game you are using,if it lists versions). A file download screen should pop up. Press the "Save" button. Now,there's a drop down box at the top of this new screen that pops up after you hit save. Click on it. Then click,in this order:
Local Disk (C:)
Program Files
If you have Petz 4-P.F. Magic
If you have Petz 5-Ubi Soft
If you have Petz 4-Petz 4
If you have Petz 5-Studio Mythos, and then petz 5
Now,go to your Resource folder.
Choose dogz or catz, depending on what breedfile it is.
Press the "Save" button, above the "Cancel" button.
Wait for it to download, and then press "Open Folder"
Note: In order to finish downloading this breed, you should have some sort of program to unzip files. WinZip is one such program, which works for Windows.
Right click on the folder with the name of the file you just downloaded. Press "Extract All".
If you have WinZip,you'll press "Next" on the extraction wizard screen.
Check and make sure the destination is correct. The easiest way to extract the file correctly is to take off the name of the breed at the end of the destination.
Hit "Next".
Uncheck show extracted files.
Press "Finish".
Trouble Downloading Breedfiles
If you're having some sort of trouble downloading breedfiles, this is the place to look. Here's a list of things that you can do if you're having troubles:
-Right click and press "Save Target As",instead of just clicking on the link to download. You do the same process, but it works sometimes, especially if it says "There is no file to extract" when you try to unzip it.
