Here are some pics of a dog, that isn't in pose,so you can compare your own poses: This is a common mistake. It looks like a pose, but the dog is not proud, like a pose should be. She's just standing there. Another common mistake. This dog is not in a dane pose.Only one eye should be showing, and the eye should be looking to the side(fully facing the camera) not in front. This dog is what is called a scared pose. The dog's eyes are wide open(which is okay for catz, but never for dogz),and the ears are way up. The dog's eyes are looking away, the ears are showing that the dog is scared. Alignment is way off. In a pose, the dog should look like he only has two legs,as much as possible. One front, one back. Algnment is way off on this one. The dog should always be facing to the right, and the dog's head is not fully turned(although it might have been, had the alignment been correct). This dog is just standing there...could even be described as slouching. The alignment is slightly off as well. Go ahead and add to my comments if you see something I missed. Note: If something is off, like alignment, that doesn't necessarly mean a dog that only has bad alignment is not in a pose. It's just part of what makes the pic I'm showing not a pose.
