There's just a few myths on these subjects,and many people don't know what these are. Thought I'd cover them.
Sleeping Sickness(sometimes referred to as SS)
What is this?
When you pick a pet up,it usually struggles or just holds still. Petz with sleeping sickness,will,when you pick them up,hang there limp and asleep.
How can you cure it?
Hexing is the only way to cure it. By using LNZ Pro(see the sticky on the Hexing Board about programs and resources),you can very simply fix a pet. Keep in mind that hexing individuals is not allowed in organizations such as the PKC.
Myths and Facts about Sleeping Sickness
Myth 1: Any pet with sleeping sickness will pass it on to all it's offspring.
Fact 1: Petz with sleeping sickness can pass it on,even if cured of it themselves. However,not all offspring get it.
Myth 2: Any pet with sleeping sickness cannot be posed.
Fact 2: It's hard,especially in dogz,but by getting them to lay down in a semi-straight fashion,and then waking them up by petting them,and then posing like normal,should work. It will take patience and persistence. Also,petz with less severe cases can be picked up and shortly sat down again,without falling asleep.
Fact 3: Some breeds come out of the AC with sleeping sickness. These include:
Desert Lynxes
Chinchilla Persians
Golden Retrievers
Trotters
